CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Medic officials said around 8 p.m. Sunday they responded to a shooting on the 5400 block of Galway Drive.
One person with life-threatening injuries was taken to Carolinas Medical Center – Main.
The victim's daughter, Paris Williams, said the shooting began when a man stole an $80 bicycle belonging to her nephew.
She said her father knew who stole the bike and tried to retrieve it. She said once they got the bike, the man fired shots at their truck and hit Williams' father.
