CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County was one of the highest in North Carolina for DWI arrests during the July 4 holiday.
Officials with the state Department of Transportation told Channel 9 of the nearly 1,800 arrested during Booze It and Lose It.
One-hundred-fourteen were in Mecklenburg County.
Guilford County had the most DWI arrests with 146.
Wake County came in second with just two more than Mecklenburg.
