Woman killed, another hurt in motorcycle crash in York County, troopers say

YORK COUNTY, N.C. — A woman was killed and another person was hurt in a motorcycle crash in York County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers said shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on Sutton Road when it tipped over onto the road. The passenger on the motorcycle, 52-year-old Anna Jorgensen, was then hit by a Jeep that was also driving north, investigators said.

Jorgensen, of Lancaster, died at the scene, troopers said. The motorcycle driver was taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the Jeep was not hurt, according to troopers.

Highway patrol said it is still investigating the crash.
