LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — One person is dead following a shooting at Tuckers Grove Campground in Iron Station early Sunday morning, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting took place around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, the suspect was pursued by deputies but fled the scene.
The victim was transported to the hospital, where they died a short time later.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
