One person shot at oceanfront Myrtle Beach hotel, police say

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Police are investigating a shooting that happened at a Myrtle Beach oceanfront hotel Saturday night.

Police were called to the Compass Cove Resort about 10:30 p.m.

Authorities said the shooting happened in a hallway on the ninth floor.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities said that person suffered serious injuries.

A person was taken into custody for questioning.
