One seriously hurt after crashing into retaining wall in Gastonia, police say

GASTONIA, N.C. — Investigators say a person is seriously hurt after driving into a wall in Gastonia Saturday evening.

It happened around 6 p.m. near Jackson Road and South York Road.

Gastonia police say a driver was speeding, lost control of their vehicle and hit a retaining wall.

The crash remains under investigation.
