CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department charged a man and a woman after an infant ingested a drug and had to be hospitalized.
Police were called to an apartment on Upland Drive in north Charlotte last week after a report that a 1-year-old boy had ingested cocaine.
Hoang Nguyen, 33, and Noukeo Chittamath, 31, were both charged in the case.
Neighbors described seeing a number of police cruisers, as well as MEDIC and the Fire Department outside the home.
“They were all out here around the time I was going to bed and then police were back out here when I was leaving for work this morning,” one neighbor said.
