‘Ongoing anxiety’: Hospital workers continue the fight as pandemic marches on

LANCASTER, S.C. — Eight months into the pandemic, and most tributes to health care workers on the front lines have ended, but their work fighting the pandemic has gotten harder.

Those workers are still in the trenches dealing with anxiety, long days and putting their lives at risk at MUSC-Lancaster.

“We are experiencing ongoing anxiety,” said Dr. Ed McCutcheon. “We do worry about our clinicians having burnout.”
