CHARLOTTE — Spring has sprung in the Marlborough Woods neighborhood in west Charlotte.
On Saturday TreesCharlotte, in collaboration with Trammel Drow Residential, Freedom Communities, and Marlborough Woods neighborhood hosted a CommunityWoods tree planting event.

In total, 124 different trees were planted in common areas; the different types include cherry, maple, ginkgo, oak, poplar, dogwood, and fringe trees.
Residents and volunteers spent two hours on Saturday morning planting trees to benefit the canopy in the neighborhood and also provide privacy between duplexes.
