ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Two men are facing multiple charges, including violating the stay-at-home order, after deputies said they broke into someone’s truck and stole a six-pack of Coca-Cola Thursday evening outside a Rowan County business.
At around 9:30 p.m., deputies were called to a business on West “C” Street, in Kannapolis after someone told them that a man was spotted going through a truck. The victim said that some clothing and a six-pack of Coca-Cola was stolen.

When deputies got there, they said they spotted 24-year-old Christian Tyler Foster and 26-year-old Kenyaata Evans Thompson walking in the area and when the men saw the patrol cars pulling up, they took off running.

The pair were later found outside the BP Store on West “C” Street and taken into custody. Deputies said they searched the men and found the stolen sodas and clothes.
Foster was charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property and Thompson was charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.
Both men were also charged with misdemeanor violation of the stay-at-home order.
