Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is looking at ESPN as a possible career move after football, ESPN reports.
Sources said Olsen is talking to the network about the "Monday Night Football" analyst job as a replacement for Jon Gruden.
A source with the Carolina Panthers told ESPN that it's the team's understanding that Olsen is exploring options for the future, not this season.
If ESPN offered the job to Olsen and he accepted it, the position would start this football season. But that would complicate matters since Olsen is under contract for 2018.
Olsen worked with the ESPN "NFL Countdown" crew before the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. He has also appeared on other ESPN shows.
