CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A longtime superfan of the Carolina Panthers, Greg “Catman” Good, died Friday at the age of 62, according to his son.

Good was easily spotted at games, wearing a blue wig with Don King-like hair, and a giant stuffed Panther slung over one shoulder.

Panthers head coach Ron Rivera tweeted out his condolences to Good’s family, saying in part that Good was “the first iconic Panther fan to greet me.”

Visa honored Good as the Panthers biggest fan of the 2003-04 season. His name was displayed on a plaque along with the names of the superfans of 31 other NFL teams in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Good would meet with other fans, taking pictures and signing autographs at games.
