Parts of Monroe to be shut down again for Cinemax show filming

MONROE, N.C. — Parts of downtown Monroe will be closed again Monday for filming of the Cinemax show "Banshee."

The filming will take place at the Belk-Tonawanda Park and at the old courthouse.

Franklin Street and other downtown roads will be closed off.

City officials say that even though some businesses will have to close down, the inconvenience will be offset by economic growth from hosting the show.
