CORNELIUS, N.C. — It will now be free to go to Jetton Park at Lake Norman.
Mecklenburg County commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday night to get rid of the $3 entrance fee, hoping the move will reduce crowding at Ramsey Creek Beach.
Channel 9 reported about the big crowds at the beach when it opened last year.

Neighbors complained about people parking on their property and causing traffic headaches. Since then, leaders added more parking and a new traffic light at Nantz Road and Catawba Avenue.
