CHESTERFIELD, S.C. — A vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian in Chesterfield on Saturday night.
The vehicle’s unknown driver was traveling north on Tech Road, near South Carolina Highway 9 when they struck the pedestrian at 1:44 a.m.

The victim succumbed to injuries on the scene, officials said.
South Carolina Highway Patrol said the collision is still under investigation.
