CONCORD, N.C. — Dozens of people came out Sunday to Concord to see some of the top-ranked wheelchair basketball teams in the nation.

The Carolina Tarwheel's took part in the third production of the Winter Classic Tournament at Concord Middle School.

One of the athletes from charlotte says the sport gives him an outlet to do what he loves to do.

The Tarwheels made it all the way to the championship game, but lost to a team from the Boston area.

“If I didn't have it, I would be uh  ... I’d feel like I was at a loss,” Richard Travis said.
