Perimeter Solutions moving headquarters to Charlotte after $685M acquisition

CHARLOTTE — Perimeter Solutions plans to move its corporate headquarters from the St. Louis area to Charlotte next month following its $685 million acquisition of a medical device manufacturing equipment company.

The company said it expects to relocate its headquarters on Nov. 4, the same day it plans to change its name to Perimeter Group Inc.

The company will continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PRM, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

Perimeter Solutions acquired Medical Manufacturing Technologies, a provider of medical device manufacturing equipment, products, and services, in January for about $685 million in cash, including certain tax benefits. MMT is based in Charlotte.

The company has not publicly detailed why it chose Charlotte for its headquarters or how many employees may be affected by the relocation. Its most recent annual report did not list a leased Charlotte address among its locations.

As of the end of 2025, Perimeter Solutions reported 356 full-time employees worldwide, along with 15 temporary, seasonal or part-time workers.

The acquisition of MMT added another 356 full-time employees and nine temporary, seasonal, or part-time workers, according to the company’s annual report.

The headquarters move and name change reflect Perimeter’s growth beyond its traditional fire-retardant business into a broader group of fire safety and specialty industrial companies.

“Perimeter has grown to six businesses, and the Perimeter Group name better represents the company as a whole,” CEO Haitham Khouri said in a statement.

The company’s fire-retardant business will continue operating under the Perimeter Solutions name. Its suppressant business, Solberg, will become Solberg Fire, while product brands including PHOS-CHEK and Auxquimia will retain their names.

Perimeter’s businesses span two segments: Perimeter Solutions, Solberg Fire and Monaco Enterprises, which makes fire detection, notification and emergency management systems, and Phosphorus Derivatives Inc., Medical Manufacturing Technologies and Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions, which provides aftermarket electronics.

The company completed its $120 million acquisition of Washington-based Monaco Enterprises in August, adding a provider of life-safety and emergency management systems serving U.S. government facilities.

Chief Financial Officer Kyle Sable said the company plans to keep investing in its businesses, including in research, staffing, customer service, and production capacity.

Perimeter Solutions reported second-quarter net sales of $213.8 million, up 31% from $162.6 million a year earlier.

The company recorded a net loss of $181.6 million for the quarter, compared with a loss of $32.2 million in the second quarter of 2025.

The most recent quarter’s results included $266.3 million in contractual founders’ advisory fees stemming from the company’s 2021 public listing, officials said.

For 2025, the company reported a net loss of $206.4 million on net sales of $652.9 million. In 2024, it reported a net loss of $5.9 million on sales of more than $560.9 million.

Perimeter Solutions was formed after SK Capital acquired fire safety and oil additives businesses from Israel Chemicals Ltd. in a deal that closed in March 2018.

The company later became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in November 2021 after a transaction with EverArc Holdings.

It converted to a Delaware-incorporated company in November 2024 while maintaining its corporate base in Clayton, Missouri.
