Person in custody after bomb threat disrupts light train service

CHARLOTTE — A light rail train was evacuated for a bomb threat on Monday in northeast Charlotte, officials said.

The Blue Line train stopped at the Tom Hunter Station on North Tryon Street during the investigation.

The threat was not credible, an official with the Charlotte Area Transit System said. A person was in custody and trains were running normally Monday afternoon.
