HIGHLANDS, N.C. — Crews with Highlands Fire and Rescue discovered an SUV with a person trapped inside at the base of Bridal Veil Falls in the Nantahala National Forest on Saturday.
Firefighters worked alongside other first responders from the Highlands Police Department and Macon County EMS to safely remove the person from the vehicle and get them to the hospital.
Bridal Veil Falls is a popular destination in Western North Carolina.
