CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was shot late Sunday night near the Burger King in uptown Charlotte, police said.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. at the transit center on East Trade Street.
Police said the man was trying to buy items from two people he did not know inside the fast food restaurant.
The man told police that someone grabbed his money and ran outside.
The two fought and the suspect fired a shot, grazing the victim's head.
He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center but is expected to recover.
Police have not made any arrests or released a suspect description.
