Pizza Hut break-in leaves thousands of dollars in damages

GASTONIA, N.C. — Someone broke into a Gastonia Pizza Hut on Saturday and caused thousands of dollars in damage, police said.

The person shattered the side door of the restaurant at 199 South New Hope Road. The break-in happened at about 5 a.m.

Nothing was stolen but a register and a printer were also damaged.

Vandalized:

  • $500 damage to glass side entrance door
  • $1,000 damage to Wincor Nixdorf register with Epson printer
  • $4,000 damage to NKL Intellisafe AuditLok safe
