CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A touchdown stood out during a football game last Friday at homecoming night when Independence High took on Garinger.

Independence's team manager, Tristan McCullam, suited up and was ready to do something most young men dream of.
Tristan, who lives with Down syndrome, joined the team this year as a manager -- a job that turned into a brotherhood.
