CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Neighbors in Charlotte's Plaza Midwood area called Eyewitness News after spotting coyotes in their back yards.

Danielle Valoras said two neighbors have seen a coyote in just the last week and some feral cats have disappeared.

Valoras said she called Animal Control, the Wildilfe Commission and certified trappers, but no one can help her catch the wild animals.

“There are a lot of children, small dogs and still just domestic pets out here. Let alone if you're just walking at night, if it's rabid. You don't know what could happen,” Valoras said.

Valoras said there's no plan in place to help other people dealing with these issues.

She's hoping by speaking out, the city will come up with a better plan to deal with wild animals in neighborhoods.
