Police: 4-year-old's bruises came from beating with cable

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police say a man caused bruises, cuts and scratches to the arms and legs of a 4-year-old boy.

Bobby Thomas Bogier, 40, of 912 Baker Blvd., Gastonia, was released on an unsecured bond on the misdemeanor child abuse charge.

The incident happened March 25 and Gastonia police took out a warrant on Bogier April 13.

The marks on the child appeared to be from a piece of cable, detective M.A. Campbell wrote in the warrant affidavit.
