RAEFORD, N.C. — Seven people in eastern North Carolina are accused of having black tar heroin in a home.
The drug is valued at $20,000.
They drugs were found at the home of one of the suspects in Raeford, which is in Hoke County.

Channel 9 has been following police efforts to stop the increase popularity of black tar heroin in the Charlotte area.
The heroin comes from Mexico and is named for its tar-like texture.
State drug investigators told Channel 9 last year that areas like the Arboretum on Highway 51 and Providence Road in south Charlotte are hotspots for drug dealers.
Agents have also been using a task force for a little more than a year to cut down on the drugs' presence in the area.
