Police: 86-year-old vet charged with child sex crimes

GASTONIA, N.C. — An 86-year-old Gastonia veteran is accused of indecent liberties with a 13-year-old girl, police said.
 
Alfred Payne was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
 
Payne was released on $100,000 bond.
