Police arrest five suspects after 2-month investigation

DALLAS, N.C. — Several suspects were arrested Friday morning by Gaston County Police Department’s vice/narcotics unit and the Dallas Police Department, according to a news release.

Three simultaneous search warrants were conducted in the 500 block of East Holly Street in Dallas. The warrants came after a two-month community impact investigation.

Five people were arrested and charged with more than 60 felony counts to the sale of crack cocaine.

Investigators from both departments used confidential informants and undercover narcotics agents to perform numerous crack cocaine purchases from three separate homes on the street.

They include: Peggy Alexander, 58; Teretha Alexander, 40; Timothy Alexander, 49; William Brown, 34; and Fredrick Otis Watson, 35.

The suspects arrested lived within 100 yards of each other.
