Police to offer $5K reward for information in old murder case

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police in Charlotte will ask for new information Saturday in a five-year-old murder case.

Someone shot 21-year-old Eric Byrd near the Lakepoint Apartments in east Charlotte in 2008.

His family and officers held a news conference Saturday morning asking anyone with leads to come forward.

There is a $5,000 reward.
