HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — On Tuesday Eyewitness News learned more about an apparent road rage incident.

Eyewitness News took a picture at the scene. In the photo a car jack is visible close to the base of a child's car seat after someone threw it thought a car's back windshield.

The victim said he is glad he was the only one in the car at the time during rush hour on Interstate 77 near exit 30 on Tuesday evening.

"What if our little daughter was back there?" said Mark Libretone.

Labretone could not help but think of his child when he looked at the damage to his car on Tuesday night.

Libretone said during evening rush hour he was driving in the left lane along I-77 North between exits 18 and 23 when a car with two men inside drove aggressively around him.

He claimed he got beside them and they hit their brakes, then he heard the crash.

"Before I know it, I hear my back window get busted out by a car jack," he said.

From Chopper 9, police are visible talking with Libretone right after he pulled off an exit.

He said that he tried to get the men's license plate number, but they took off in the emergency lane.

He is glad that nobody was injured and he chalks the whole incident up to road rage.

"I don't know, I guess the kids thought I was going to come up and race them, but I wasn't. I was just trying to get home from a long day's work," he said.
