MARSHVILLE, N.C. — The husband of a woman found shot to death has been charged with murder, according to Marshville police.

Alicia Sligh, 34, was found dead Sunday from a gunshot wound in the head.

Police said Reginald Leon Allen, 37, led investigators to the location of the gun used to kill Sligh.

A judge denied bond for Allen during his court appearance Friday. His next court date is in April.

Allen, who confessed to his involvement in the killing, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is being held in the Union County Jail under no bond.
