Police investigate shooting at north Charlotte apartments

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police were investigating a shooting Wednesday night at a north Charlotte apartment complex.

Officers said a man was shot at the Dillehay Court Apartments on Pine Street behind the Bojangles restaurant on North Tryon Street around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, MEDIC reported. He was out of surgery early Thursday morning.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News they heard gunfire coming from the apartments.

Police have not released the man's name or any suspect information. No arrests have been made.
