ALBEMARLE — Albemarle police say they plan to release details about a death investigation Monday morning.
Residents who live on Beale Street have a lot of questions about what could have happened there.
One neighbor who didn't want to show his face told Channel 9 the sound of gunshots is nothing new on Beale Street.
"I hear gunshots all the time. At nighttime you hear them over here, over there."
He said he woke up Saturday around 4 a.m. to gunshots and his dog barking.
So far, Albemarle police aren't saying much about what happened at the home.
Neighbors say authorities arrived Saturday evening and found a man's body lying in the yard.
Neighbors say a 17-year-old black man was the victim. Police have not released the victim's identity or cause of death.
But this case has left some residents in the area uneasy.
Channel 9 tracked down the victim's mother. She didn't want to reveal any information about her son or what happened to him.
