CHARLOTTE — Police are searching for a suspect in an interstate shooting that happened in north Charlotte on Friday.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said shots were fired on I-85 at the I-77 interchange near Beatties Ford Road Friday morning.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom spotted numerous CMPD squad cars.
The victim’s brother-in-law told Channel 9 he was shot in the knee while driving a work truck and believes it was a random shooting.
CMPD has not released any details.
