CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD homicide detectives charged Ricky Alexander, 21, with murder Monday after a deadly shooting the night before in northeast Charlotte.
The shooting happened shortly before midnight at a home on Bustlehead Court, just off Harris Houston Road.
When officers got there, they found Richard Clarke, 48, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, but has not been identified.
Investigators said they interviewed several witnesses who were there at the time of the shooting.
Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting.
