LONG VIEW, N.C. — Investigators in Catawba County were investigating after a person was hit and killed by a train near Long View Thursday morning.
Long View police told Channel 9 that a 41-year-old man was killed by a train operated by Norfolk Southern around 5 a.m. along 19th Street Northwest, near Main Street.
Officials have not released that man's name.
The railroad has since been reopened.
