CHARLOTTE — Several officers and police vehicles were spotted Friday morning at a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools facility in southwest Charlotte.
At least six patrol cars have been staged outside the Chris Evans Folk Building since about 8:30 a.m. The site serves as an administrative building for the district.
Channel 9’s Lauren Crawford spoke with the CMS Police Chief Jonathan Thomas about the response. He did not provide details about what happened but said CMS Communications would release more information soon.
Despite the police presence, employees have continued their day as planned, going in and out of the building throughout the morning.
Channel 9 is asking for more information about the need for the response.
