CHARLOTTE — Chopper 9 Skyzoom was over the West Charlotte Recreation Center at about 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, where there was a large police presence after sources said shots were fired.

MEDIC said they responded to an assault call along Kendall Drive. The rec center is near West Charlotte High School, so all the chaos sent it into lockdown.

A witness told Channel 9 that a big fight broke out in the parking lot of the rec center. Shots were fired. No one was hit or hurt, sources said.

One of the people in the fight used pepper spray.

Police have not released any information.
