Man charged with murder in connection to November homicide

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested and charged a man in connection to a November homicide in west Charlotte.

Jadarius Irving McCall, 26, is accused of killing Deon Davis, 34, on Nov. 12, police said.

Authorities were called to the 2800 block of West Boulevard at 2:19 a.m.

Officers found Davis inside of a car in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.  Authorities said he died at the scene.

Officers said they were approached by a woman who said she was inside the car with Davis, and that she was shot in the hand.

McCall was charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 704-336-8228 or 911.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Channel 9 found that Davis has a criminal history, including second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
