Khanal applied for a second PPP loan in January and found out Thursday afternoon he was approved.

“We are struggling to survive,” owner Raj Khanal said. “This is our livelihood. We want to keep our door open.”

The program has given out more than $680 billion in loans, mostly to small businesses with under 20 employees.

It was set to end next week until Congress voted Thursday afternoon to extend it.
