Pro golfer meets 2 North Carolina teens with chronic illnesses during Pro-am

Cromwell, Connecticut — Two North Carolina teens battling life-threatening illnesses got the chance of a lifetime when they hit the links with pro golfer Jordan Spieth Wednesday.

They also had the opportunity to use Spieth’s putter while on the green.

Grayson Beck, 15, of Lexington and Troy Perna, 17, of Lexington got to walk inside the ropes on the 18th hole with Spieth as part of the Pro-am at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.

The teens' special moment with their favorite golfer was made possible by The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The teens said they were a little nervous but will never forget the experience.
