Public forums will provide info on the Cabarrus County Schools GO Bond

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Voters in Cabarrus County had the chance to learn more about education bonds that will be on the Nov. ballot.

On Thursday night, the first of three forums on the $400 million bond referendum was held at Cox Mill High School.

The bonds cover Cabarrus County Schools, Kannapolis City Schools, and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.

Cabarrus County alone needs new schools and money for other maintenance and additions.

Voters who weren’t able to attend Thursday’s meeting can attend the next meeting on Oct. 6 at Central Cabarrus High School, followed by the last meeting on Oct. 22 at H.E. Winkler Middle School.

The proposed Cabarrus County Schools GO Bond will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot.
