Drought officially over for Charlotte area after much rainfall

The Charlotte area has had 16 inches of rain since November 2022, Meteorologist John Ahrens reported on Feb. 2.

There have been seven days of sunshine since Jan. 1.

The drought was officially over on Feb. 2.
