CHARLOTTE — Gias Foods is recalling Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart stores nationwide due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product.
The potential contamination was uncovered during routine sampling conducted by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Following the test result, the N.Y.-based company halted distribution of the fettuccine as it works with the Food and Drug Administration to investigate the cause of the problem.
The recalled frozen pasta is packaged in a 22-ounce yellow plastic bag under UPC 194346442706.
Consumers who purchased the fettuccine are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
