CHARLOTTE — Pause Studio, a wellness and recovery concept, is betting on South End with plans for a 4,600-square-foot studio.
Pause has inked a deal for a state-of-the-art studio at 124 E. Kingston Ave., according to our partners at the Charlotte Business Journal.
That venture is slated to open in Nov. on the ground floor of the Kingston South End luxury residential building. Introductory packages and memberships are available at 50% off through Nov. 13.
“Interest has really grown, and South End is full of people who already make wellness a part of their week, so it’s a natural fit,” says Mike Thaler.
He and wife Brooke, both Charlotteans, have teamed up with Whitney and Jonathan Culp on the South End franchise. The couples are committed to expanding the concept throughout the Charlotte region.
Franchise disclosure documents for the company state the estimated initial investment is between $880,000 and $1.5 million to open a studio. That includes a $60,000 franchise fee.
Expect Pause to deliver a variety of holistic services, with a goal of supporting a healthier well-being. Offerings will include flotation therapy, infrared sauna, and cold plunges. There are also IV drips, designed to hydrate, support immunity, and detoxify, as well as treatments for cellular repair, boosting energy levels and slowing the signs of aging. Therapies utilize LED light to restore skin or compression to improve circulation and ease swelling. Cryotherapy is also available.
“Most people are forced to piece together their wellness routine from different places: a gym for recovery, a spa for the sauna, a clinic for IVs. Pause brings all of that under one roof,” Thaler says.
Those complementary services help reduce stress and anxiety, while boosting immunity and improving focus. They are designed to accelerate physical recovery and enhance performance as well.
