KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Kings Mountain residents will have a chance to weigh in on the future of data centers in the city Monday.
The city will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. at Kings Mountain City Hall, where residents can meet with City Council members and share their thoughts.

Kings Mountain currently has a one-year pause on new data center projects while leaders review the potential impacts on the city.
Charlotte is also considering its policies on data centers. City Council is scheduled to hold a hearing Oct. 12 on whether to extend its current pause on data center projects.
Charlotte’s moratorium is set to expire Nov. 5.
