CONCORD, N.C. — A roadside assistance worker is in the hospital after troopers said he was hit by a car on Interstate 85 in Concord Thursday morning.
Troopers told Channel 9 that a driver called for help with a flat tire near exit 54 around 7:30 a.m.
They said that the worker arrived and was about to get in his car when a Mercedes hit him.
Paramedics rushed him to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast but it was not immediately clear how severe his injuries were.
Troopers have not said if any charges will be filed.
