ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police in Rock Hill said a man was charged after he climbed up into a fire truck and blasted the horn during cleanup after Sunday's storm, according to Channel 9's partners at The Herald.
Police said Thomas Miller, 30, “only wanted to honk the horn.”
Officers were on College Avenue Extension around 9 p.m. Sunday after a tree fell on an SUV, but when officers saw a downed power line under the vehicle, they called the Rock Hill Fire Department.
Police said they heard the horn of the fire truck being honked and saw a Miller sitting in the driver seat.
He was charged with public disorderly conduct after police saw him climb in and out of the fire truck. According to a police report, Miller blasted the air horn "for an extremely long time."
