The flames broke out inside the building on Rosehaven Drive around 4:30 a.m., and when firefighters arrived the building was engulfed, causing the roof to collapse.
Investigators have not yet said how the fire started.
A Charlotte Fire Department battalion chief told Channel 9 that the building was vacant and has been for a while.
