Rowan County: Man arrested after 8 years on the lam

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Maurice Boyd Woodward was arrested after being on the lam for eight years, Rowan County Sheriff's Office officials said in a news release Tuesday.

Officials in Rowan County connected with law enforcement in Louisiana to make the arrest.

Woodward will be extradited back to Rowan County to face the 2007 charges on possessing a firearm by a felon.
