SC representative wants to make driving slowly in left lane a crime

Rep. J. Gary Simrill, R-York, is sponsoring a bill that would make driving to slow in the left lane a crime in South Carolina.

He said it is a danger on the roadways.

In the video at the top of this webpage, reporter Gina Esposito spoke with Simrill about what punishment drivers could face.

“People taking chances, so they’ll try and squeeze in from the right to pass the slower person on the left,” Simrill said. “And those are where your dangerous situations come in.”
